I'm Kaycee, nice to meet you!!
Photography is my passion project. I graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Animal Science, minoring in Communications with a focus in Media. While in college, I somehow managed to land a pretty cool job with the College of Agriculture as the official photographer and social media specialist. I learned so much through that experience and still use those skills today!
After a short break, I picked my camera back up in 2023 when I became a mom. I have two girls who are my world. It is SO MUCH fun. My days are filled with pink, bows, princess dresses, and temper tantrums. That's right, even a photographer's kid will refuse to smile for a picture sometimes! I take the picture anyway. After having my first daughter, I found myself wanting to document every second, even the mundane ones. I never wanted to forget the way their hand rests perfectly on my chest while they sleep in my arms, or their first time picking out their outfit, the funny way they say certain words, or even the pouty face they make right before they cry. This has fueled my desire to capture childhood in a unique and authentic way. Both for my children and yours!
To give you an idea of who you're working with, here's a list of my favorite things: my family, my pets, iced coffee, all things vintage, worship music, seasonal decorating, Taylor Swift, florals, and fall (hello football, fairs, and the besttt food!!) I will pull my car over in the middle of a drive to take a picture of a sunset. I spend a lot of time researching things to try and understand all the nitty gritty details (i.e. photography equipment, courses, and editing software.) I have a major sweet tooth and have a love/hate relationship with cooking. I try to live life as if I were editing photos: bright, warm, and cozy!

Where are you based out of?
I am based in Alabama. I call both Headland and Cullman home!
With that being said, I LOVE to travel and can most likely come to you if you are within reasonable distance.
Can I extend the session on the day of?
Most of the time, sessions run over by a few minutes anyways (which I plan for!) However, we will play it by ear based off what else I have going on that day!
What kind of gear do you use?
Right now, I am primarily using the Canon mirrorless camera with a prime lens!
Do I have to order prints through you?
You can! I send digital copies in an online gallery and you are welcome to print off as many as you want. In fact, I encourage it! I do have a photo lab that I trust to print high quality products, if you are interested in purchasing through me. Also, if you need your gallery on a CD or flash drive, I'd be glad to work that out for you!
